The food we eat changes the whole way we feel and has a huge impact on our lives. "Back to the Roots" is designed to help teach kids how healthy food doesn't mean boring and is so important for creating healthy and happy lifestyles. I wanted to find a way to get children involved and to create an environment for both parent and child. I used multi-layered garments to protect clothes from day to day use. Life can be pretty hectic and we need something to fit and be easily adaptable. As a designer I think it's important to be inspired by the life around you, whatever that may be. I want to continue to learn and develop traditional techniques and skills but use them in new and contemporary ways.
