Going on to study BA Production Arts and Design, Set and Costume Design, at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Runner up in the Compendium interiors project My first collection was influenced by Nan Shepherd’s book ‘The Living Mountain’. This project was about creating a collection of outdoor/exercise wear, and I tried to capture the beautiful descriptions of the Cairngorms using traditional textile techniques and used each chapter as the starting point for each piece. The interior project started from an idea of how items passed down have a history and a past woven in them. These stories and items are collected and curated ready to be again passed on, to be held, thought and spoken about creating even more history that’s woven into the piece. I am influenced by stories that I have gathered and finding innovative ways of interpreting and retelling them. I love working with a limited colour palette and creating fragile looking 3D piecesHND Fashion Textiles at Glasgow Clyde College
