I am at the end of a fashion and Textile Course. Here I had the pleasure to discover art. The pleasure of colours. The pleasure of creating something. My strength is in my hands: manipulating, shaping and constructing. I love the journey that takes to arrive to a final concept garment. From the first stop of coming up with ideas, to the endless destinations that colours and different techniques takes you: drawing, printing, manipulating. My samples are mostly made from recycled materials. I love to give things another chance, from melted onion’s net sack to manipulated old jewellery or old cloths. Joined this course to became a home economics teacher. I love to amend cloths, to make them reusable for something else like a jumper becoming a bag. My focus is to pass on the passion for sustainability and the fun involved in recycling to the next generations. To be aware what they buy and where they buy from for a better future.
Future: BSc (Hons) in Education and Curricular Studies with a Teaching Qualification at Strathclyde University.
