Designing, making and embellishing garments - these make up the core aspects of my drive for fashion. I have discovered that I enjoy implementing a part of myself into what I’m working on. Having a long lasting love for McQueen;s work has allowed me to take inspiration from his eerie designs. This made me think about my own fears, the biggest being the fear of spiders. Despite having this fear, I can see the beauty in them, inevitably inspiring the look of my jacket. Implementing a personal attribute to my design gave me more of a drive to complete it to the highest quality. I feel that the main way forward for me is through the creation of my own business - allowing me to explore the methods of working further. Keeping with the theme of using my fears for fashion, I would like to produce garments inspired by deep sea.
