I like to work with my hand doing fabric manipulation, sampling on mannequins using a variety of media and techniques, especially when it comes to pattern making, I usually don’t start with the basic blocks. like what I did with my final garment on creative garment design I made a dress on the bias I’ve started by cutting the fabric on the mannequin using my line-up and design development as inspiration. In my project, I experienced using elastic, smocking, gathering, and patchwork with different fabrics and colours.
I really enjoyed concept garment design and creative garment design units the most because we were able to develop innovation and experimentation in the garment design process, using our own research and resources to make samples and concept garment pieces that relate to the fashion design brief.
