I am interested in conceptual womenswear, telling stories through the collection. Within my garments I distort the human form, into more interesting silhouettes. Giving each garment its own energy and thus by wearing them one’s own personality merges with the garment and creates something new. My collection is based on the unpredictability of the passage of time, with each look acting as a self-portrait of myself at different points in my life. Showing that an individual’s growth is always unpredictable. My strongest designs come from when I am working in 3D as a result, when designing first will create a sculpture or imagery that symbolizes the story I want to tell with my designs. From there I will reference and abstract the original work moulding my designs into something original. But still imbues the same meaning.
