My collection is focused on how I would view aliens to look in high fashion, in the 21st/22nd century. Through-out I am looking at various shapes and how I can use and manipulate them. Usha Doshi has been a massive inspiration for me throughout my collection, along with Melitta Baumeister; both sources go very well together. Our lack of knowledge, revolving around what could exist beyond the human life and earth is limitless and I believe anything can be created to make something imaginable within your own mind. Whilst in the process of creating my final pieces, I used fold techniques, for example, cutting out various squares and folding to then sewing over the tucks to create a beautiful effect, along with sewn half circles and eyelets. Developing my sketch book has also been a fun process, I will look forward to continuing collages, working drawings and expanding my research skills as I go onto further education.
