She/Her

As an analytical thinker I enjoy the process of transforming my 2D sketches into 3D wearable designs. During my Fashion Design and Manufacture course I was drawn to pattern cutting and sewing. I feel most accomplished when I can see my designs in their final fabrics.
My inspiration for my collection developed from my objects, paper sculptures and inspired sculptural artists as well as the minimalism movement. My collection is based on doing more with less, finding ways to manipulate the fabric to create texture and fullness. This led me to make my collection in all white fabrics, to draw focus to the manipulations while exaggerating the use of light and shadow in the designs. I always try to learn and incorporate new techniques when designing something, to build confidence and expand my knowledge and skills in construction.
As my studies at Glasgow Clyde College come to an end I plan to move onto university to study Fashion Technology at Heriot-Watt, where I hope to gain more experience in the production of garments and the fashion industry.

3rd year Fashion Technology at Heriot-Watt.
