Altered Atelier 21/22

Altered Atelier is a documentation of process and design through a series of 4 short films. Exploring the symbiotic relationship between technology and traditional, the maker and the machine. As we work between the virtual and physical classroom, we reflect on what was and what is. Honoring the traditions of our craft and embracing the evolution of technology.

Our showcase concludes a 2 year journey and represents our ability to adapt, improvise and innovate with what we have around us and learn along the way.

We Look back in time with a sense of nostalgia and curiosity, unearthing the intricacies of time-honoured designs, and merging them with modern tastes and advancements. Mixing elements of the past with visions of the future we reveal the role that the hand and the machine play in the creative process

Amid the unknowns of our present lives are spaces in which new ideas, methods and designs can emerge. It's time to rethink the rules of what your design can be.
