I design textiles that bring me joy aesthetically and when I interact with them. I create textural embroidered pieces that are sensory and playful. Using interesting colour palettes for my projects is important to me because colour is one of the first things I’m drawn to in the environment around me. Using my hand skills in an experimental way is part of my process and often creates a better flow of new ideas when I’m developing my samples. Creating fabric using the knitting machine is something I have just started to explore. The endless potential of techniques to create structures using the knit machine is what I am most excited about when I continue onto the Glasgow School of Art to study for my BA in Textile Design.
