My Dad always pushed me towards a creative career path. He had done the same at my age, and so always ensured me that happiness was the most important factor when applying for courses. When I told him that textiles was the creative field I found my passion in, he was surprised, but took solace in knowing I was truly happy doing it.
Within textiles, I found print to be my speciality, starting that creative journey with lino printing and sticking a paper cut out on the bottom of a screen.
Within these 2 years of work, I’ve found enjoyment in both interiors and fashion, and have done an internship at the interiors company Iona Crawford. I’m now setting my sights on University, but choosing where it is I want to attend is a little trickier than I originally thought.
