I have always been drawn to textures and colours – it fascinates me how certain colour combinations and palettes can evoke very visceral emotions and deeply personal responses and I have loved exploring this over the past two years. While I enjoyed all the areas of textile design covered in our studies, it was weaving that I was drawn to the most; the combination of my German background that makes me want to understand the technicalities along with my patient nature and eye for detail as well as the tactility and colour interaction of the resulting pieces make the process hugely enjoyable and satisfying for me. 

I look forward to continuing my studies and honing my technical skills at GSA next year.
