It’s incredible how much we and the world we live in changes but my goal when creating garments is to make pieces that will last throughout those transitions with someone. I love to use traditional crafts such as knitting and crochet and bring new life to them with bold colours and designs so that when combined with my newfound sewing ability create contemporary articles that stand out.

My favourite aspect of the course is the hands-on problem solving that it takes to turn a garment from a design to a real life. It’s been really gratifying over the past three years to see my sewing and pattern making skills develop to a place where I can make what’s in my head look as good as I imagined it to be.

I hope to further improve upon my sewing ability and get more practical experience in a work environment through an apprenticeship or internship.
