My personal favourite design project was definitely Bridal. I am very much drawn to very clean finished garments with flattering designs. I love all things jazzy so embellishing my bridal garment was a definite bonus as I believe rhinestones and sequins can add to the beauty of a garment; another design element that I more than appreciate.
I am happiest when I am working with different colours and patterns as the possibilities of what you can design and make what with the variety.
I would love to use that knowledge that I have acquired and the skills that I have learned in my time at Glasgow Clyde to move onto a career in musical theatre. The particular area I am interested in is the wardrobe department as many musicals such as Hairspray and Wicked have costume plots with colourful patterned fabrics and embellishment. I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for any potential internships or job opportunities for a position like this.
