I have always enjoyed being creative although I only began sewing during lockdown. Overnight sewing projects became my number one focus, so I left school to join the fashion technology course at Glasgow Clyde despite only being 16 years old. I mix my career with working at home on the family farm. My final collection is focused on creating interesting shapes and texture using flounces and ruffles. My jacket has a simple strong silhouette from the front but has lots of interesting features on the back. I designed my pink dress to be a pop of colour in the collection, it features roses and ruffes wrapped round each other for 3D texture. My last outfit is a neutral beige colour, so the collection is cohesive, the trousers have matching ruffles and roses to the dress which are made from an ivory satin that matches the shirt and corset. I love this outfit for McQueen as the trousers are very low waisted and the shirt is cropped so the bodies lower back and torso are on show.
