My passion for textile design has flourished since starting my course and I have found my love for working with yarns. My favourite projects so far have been creating woven and knitted textiles, I am always experimenting with various types of yarns because I love the feel of the different textures and weights. I love working with layers and I find adding a foil print on top of a knitted textile creates a striking visual contrast that I take joy in using when a sample needs a little life. I mainly pull inspiration from nature and architecture as I find the range of colour palettes give me a lot of creative freedom whilst the patterns and textures give me interesting shapes to use in drawings and prints and influence the way I manipulate fabrics.
Future : BA (Hons) Textile Design with knit specialisation at Glasgow School of Art
