I joined the HND Fashion & Textiles with a clear vision. I wanted to learn the skills needed to launch my own brand in Pakistani ladies’ fashion. Specifically printed material.  I have gained the skills to begin the process of designing and creating my own prints. I have particularly enjoyed the process of colour theory, design development and screen printing in the interior project. Whilst enjoying printed textiles unit I discovered my love for weave. I had never done any sort of weaving before, so this was a new area for me. I fell in love with this art as I found it calming and peaceful. I could block everything out. I liked experimenting with different types of yarn when it came to creating samples for the Kinetic leather bag project. I feel like I have fulfilled my purpose of joining the course and can begin envisioning my goal to establish my brand.
