I love colour and pattern, I like to draw from what inspires me and find shapes and forms within photographs and I would say my style is very bold and graphic. I am hugely inspired by nature, I am inspired by everything around me from trees, rivers, the sky or anything which interests me. I also get a lot of inspiration from architecture and vandalism in cities. I worked on a live project with Iona Crawford called “Socialite” where I created a collection of wallpapers and cushions inspired by interesting forms in nature, I took a collection of photographs at the Botanical gardens in Glasgow and used these to work from when looking for colours, shapes and pattern. I also worked on a project called “Nite Rock’s”, in this project I created a hand bag for a young female who loves night life and likes wearing leather. Another project I worked on was inspired by the “Mad Hatter” I created my own client, an older, wealthy and eccentric man, I created a shirt design for this client. I hope to progress onto second year at Glasgow School of Art to further study textiles.
