My favourite project this year was the print Morphology interior project, I was incredibly happy with my final set of wallpapers as I was able to produce a coherent collection that suited my client.  I had textural backgrounds for the basis of this project and I wanted my designs to be visible, so I was particular with my placement when screen-printing.  From there I developed my collection with Photoshop to see it in a real life setting which was great to see.

Another project I have really enjoyed was a leather project for a unit called Textiles for Commission, for my handbag I was inspired by a ‘party girl’, I had never worked with leather before but I experimented and ended up with some interesting samples, like cutworks in the leather which resulted in reusing the cut elements for another sample so nothing was going to waste.

In September of this year I will be attending Strathclyde university to complete my degree in Home Economics teaching.
