After years of longing to put my creative skills to use I finally took the leap, at the time I did not have a clear goal in mind, but I know studying Fashion Technology was in no doubt the best decision. I finally found my true passion in life and I also found myself, being able to express myself through the drawing process and creative tasks has given me the confidence in knowing who I am and knowing my self-worth within my work.
The whole process of learning excites me, the projects which interested me most have been designing and creating capsule collections for brands HYKE and ACNE this has allowed me to discover my talents within the design process, I am now discovering who I am as a designer and creator of fashion. My key skills of precision pattern cutting and manufacturing of garments from design to final product have excelled throughout my time of study. Every new project enables me to achieve more skills, I love these challenges and strive to achieve every goal put my way.
I have been inspired by the knowledge my lecturers have and thrive to reach this level. Learning so much through my experience at college has given me the skillset to take my journey to the next level studying at Herriot Watt University, I aim to have the skills, abilities, and talents to open different career choices for me within the fashion and technology industry.
