For me I am inspired by creating garments that can be worn in numerous different ways. I like being able to change my garments whether that being wearing it on part of the body or upside down and still having them work. I personally like to work with black,white and beige as my colour pallet with some pops of colour. I was able to explore this through concept design where I created a garment from a old suit jacket whilst exploring the theme of ‘modular’. From here I developed this idea of change by looking at ‘Retinas’ and the veins within our eyes, this lead me onto looking at thick fabrics and ties where I started to creating strips of different fabrics that would hang from the body in different shapes and sizes to resemble the back of our eyes. I am planning to expand my knowledge on the fashion industry by going onto study Fashion Design at University after I finish my HND.
