Throughout my studies I have discovered a true passion for fashion design. I have enjoyed exploring both traditional and digital design techniques and gained valuable skills in units such as Fashion Forecasting and Advanced Garment Design. These skills have not only helped me in my creative process but have also taught me about the construction of garments and the stories that inspire each design.

Fashion has the incredible power to provide us with a sense of escapism, allowing us to forget the reality of our situations and experience something new. I wanted to pay homage to this in my project by creating a world of fantasy and imagination. ‘Blossom’ focuses on the influence of the vibrant and colourful elements of nature and examines just how flowers in nature can affect shape, surface and graphics. The beauty of stained-glass windows and the various ways it reflects light were other sources of inspirations.

I’m going to continue my education at Caledonian University where I’ll be learning more about the business side of fashion in the hopes of one day developing my very own brand.
