I’ve really enjoyed progressing with my theme of nature. I’ve enjoyed looking at the different shapes and concepts that can be created from one small item. For example, one of my main concept designs as been based on the shape and movement of a decaying leaf. I’ve found this interesting as I like to look at things that could easily be overlooked but when they are looked at with an open eye they give you a thousand possibilities to get creative with. I think this project was great as it’s made me realise you can create concepts and shapes out of pretty much anything and it has helped me view objects in a completely different way. I’m currently trying to learn a-bit more about fabrics as I think it’s really important to know how a fabric will manipulate as it can change the final look of a garment so much. I think I am good at working independently and with others, I love to look at other peoples work as it really inspires me seeing how someone can grasp a concept so different from the same object. I’m hoping to progress onto studying fashion at uni and excited to learn more skills.
