I like to create work that tells a story. There is nothing more satisfying than doing a project and watching it flow from beginning to end, showing a narrative. As an introverted person who loves consuming films, books, tv etc it’s almost impossible for me to create work that doesn’t have a strong theme or story. Creating and developing mood-boards is one of my favourite parts of the design process as it’s a good outlet to share my visuals with others. When designing I also love creating collages as it really pushes my thought process and makes me become more experimental. My collection was inspired by the modern nature surrounding us and the old garments of the past. I’m a fan of fashion history and enjoy learning about it, which is why I included it within my work. After college I hope to study costume or styling at university; creating visuals and stories through fashion for people to view.
