Through my design process and creation I have been trying to figure out new directions for fashion to go in, with a focus on more sustainable practises. In my most recent project I have used both art and literature that explores the human condition, life death and everything in between. I hope to convey a reverence for nature through my designs and develop a further understanding of what fashion can be and how the industry can adjust to become more positive for the people within the industry and the planet. My most recent collection has focused heavily on mushrooms as they exist in a limbo between life and death, neither plant nor animal. They are a symbol of the larger and more philosophical ideas I have been trying to reconcile with within the industry.
