She/Her

I would describe my style as being overbearingly feminine – I’m usually seen in unapologetic bright pastel colours, or more lace than one person should be wearing in one outfit. My HND collection is inspired by the idea of a romantic, whimsical forest and the kinds of mushrooms and other foliage which may live in it. It consists mainly of light, muted shades of pinks and ivories paired with flowing silhouettes, airy cotton and georgette fabrics then finished with a generous number of ruffles for detailing. When I’m designing garments, I prefer to take a slightly trial-and-error approach to design by draping fabric onto a stand until I’m happy with how it sits and collecting a large amount of inspiration pictures rather than drawing out an exact plan of action to follow. After this HND course I plan to take a short break before continuing my studies at university, after that I would like to work in industry for one of my favourite small designers.
